60th aniversary of the libaration of Paris 1944-2004
60th anniversary of the liberation of Paris 1944-2004.
This week we went to Paris for a few days, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Paris (France) on the 25th August 2004, but also to see some old friends. I found this nice hotel on the internet site of hotels in Paris. We wanted one that was a) not to expensive and b) not to far from a subway-station (Metro). So we made our choice for this nice looking 2 star hotel, Hotel Exelmans.
We left Holland on Tuesday the 24th in the morning and arrived in Paris at about 16.00 hours. We checked in in our hotel and unloaded our luggage. After a short rest and shower we went in to town for diner. Just an ordinary dinner in an ordinary bistro. Had a short stroll through PARIS and went to bed at about 22.30, as we wanted to be fit for the festivities of the 25th.
