Dale Watson in Newland (Klaaswaal Holland)
Well it has been a long two years, but we finally had the chance to see Dale in concert again.
It is the 11th of August 2005, Klaaswaal Holland.
A new formation of the Lone Stars. As always Gene Kurtz (Bass-guitar) and Don Don Powlak (Pedal Steel Guitar) and new to us in Holland were Herb Belofsky(Drums) and Don Raby (5 string fiddle)
No disappointment on his new CD "HEEAH!" that was presented this evening.
As always Dale let his fans call out for request songs and he mixed in a couple of songs of the new CD. The band preformed just great and it was real nice to hear a 5 string fidlle player like Don. Also Her on drums was out of this world.
Unfortunately we weren't able to attend the other concerts in Delft nor the concert on the 12th of August.
But we made up for this in the "after concert get together". We hang out with Dale and the other band members until 2 o'clock. Talking about music, live our loves and most about country music. Also we were glad to meet Marcy, who made the pictures on the new album, and more who seems to make Dale's life happy again.
Also I want to pay tribute to the wonderful staff of Newland, who, with their excellent service, made this a wonderful evening!
