Sex 'n' Jazz

Gare Du Nord; Sex 'n'Jazz.

Some time ago Gilda got the CD 'Sex 'n' Jazz from the Dutch group 'Gare Du Nord'.
They play their own style of Jazz, which is inspired on Miles Davis and Marvin Gay.
There is a song on their CD called Marvin & Miles, which we both like very much. It is sang by Dorona Alberti.
The also had this wonderful song Pablo's Blues. A dobro solo with the sampled voice of Robert Leroy Johnson singing ; Come on in My Kitchen.
Anyway, quite by accident Gilda read in our local Newspaper that they were having a concert in our local "Muziek Theater" and we decided to go there. There were not many free place left so we sat almost at the back row, which turned out to be quite good places!
The concert was 2 times 45 minutes, which I thought was quite short. The pause was over 20 minutes, which I thought was quite long. But that's the only time one can buy a drink.

Music was excellent and the show was good.
They band uses all kind of music samples in a fascinating way. All you now have to do is see when they play near you and go and see them.
In the mean time just buy their CD and sit back and enjoy.
The CD is distributed by Chrysalis Music Benelux.
